WE are weaving new and ancient ways of connection to create a new paradigm of total harmony. Most of us are quite lonely. This is a great signal that we MUST listen to.
What is the root of the pain? What is the root of the disconnection? Our systems need connection to thrive, (and to survive, doing it alone is out of balance with the laws of nature), as connection is the true source of value, and I believe this disconnection is the number one cause of disease within humanity. Yes, we must connect to ourselves, our sacred body temples, the earth around us, the clean water, and brilliant trees, the animals so wise, and each other-- not only our intimate relationships, there's too much weight I put on these, and this is the cause for so much divorce and separation. We must strive to connect to other people, and because of the great effort that it takes in this system of greed and isolation, with our separate huge houses, where we must use cars that damage our Great Earth Body (and many animal people) to get to each other, we are seeped in disharmony. Our relationships need more relationships to thrive. We need to be eating meals together every night as community. Our children need community to be raised. For health. Or they will soon grow to be lonely and disconnected too, steeped in disease. We need each other. We need to be in service to each other simply for the sake of service, and the great benefit that service brings to both the giver and receiver, as well as our great body earth. We must break free of the paradigms of money, of the concept that we can sell the earth, the gifts from the earth, and our own sacred bodies and minds. If you don't think you're selling yourself or our Earth, look at the work that you're doing or creating (or destroying). Are you coming from the mindset of service, does it feel awesome to give in this way? Or are you doing it to simply pay the mortgage and feed your family? Are you numb or lonely? Your system is signaling you for a new way. I certainly dance between lonely, numb, and inspired. It's an edgy dance. Numbing is a coping mechanism when despair is too overwhelming. Despair is intended to wake us up, and motivate our actions forward, despair informs our responsibility. But if the despair is too great, then we go numb. And it's the numbing that is destroying everything. It's time that we realize how to listen to our systems, how to listen to our feelings-- when there's upset or quarrel in the house, listen to it! Don't just think that you need a marriage counselor, or that something is wrong in your relationship or family-- something is wrong in the system! We need to be living in village, and community, it is imperative to the continuation of humanity, and to the continuation of the earth as we know it. Or better. We must wake up to this new shift now. How can we take steps now in our individual lives for greater harmony of the collective whole? Not just humanity. Not just your family. Not just yourself. Not just your yard. And within these aspects, yes, there is service to be had. Let us hold in our minds, hearts, and actions the greater unfolding for what is necessary for our collective whole, and for the real happiness of ourselves, of our families, of the way that we live. Aho!

"How can I connect?"This is a good question to ask in each new moment. Let us lean into connection as the path to contentment.
Connection is all we are really seeking. And it happens to also be the antidote to over-consumption. We do not indulge when we are in connection, because when we are connected we are in consideration of the whole, including all humans, plants, trees, water, fire, air, etc. We realize we ARE the Whole. I walked by a native elder in Lithia Park today and I smiled. "Hello Angel," he said. "Hello," I replied as I stopped walking and turned to face him and his biker friend. I easily could have kept walking, and may have done so a few weeks ago, before I realized the greatest value we have is connection. He and his friend, Tommy, seemed surprised that I stood with them, engaged, and in equal gratitude for their level of Presence. We spoke of the value of service, and the native friend from New Mexico shared about his three washers and dryers that Creator gifted him to wash the clothes of our brothers and sisters without homes. Tommy's bracelet read "Destiny", and truly it was, for in five minutes I realized that disconnection is the only thing that causes fear, and connection is love. I am grateful for the hole in the wise elder's shoe that made him stop and say hello. I'm grateful to have remembered what is truly valuable. may we honor the fire
in all the many things and live a life of harmony and elemental balance. consume only the fire we need and let the fluidity of water the breath of trees and the ground of earth bring us balance. too much fire is devastating. balance.balance.balance. I dedicate every pore to what's here.
Today I will be signing off for four days, for a beautiful gathering and soul family reunion-- a complete nature immersion-- truly thd best Medicine, tucked in the woods amongst beautiful, radiant community, on a gushing river, in Wiiliams, OR. May you also gift yourself the gift of life. We must take the opportunity to tune back into what's really here, so that when we show up on this inter-web, we show up with full presence, and the true transmission of Love. May I see with clear eyes,
great sky eyes, the perfected unfolding and hold in my heart the powers of east and west, arising and passing away. Open my mind to faith, to the Great Good, the Universal One Song, harmonious here and now. Peace peace peace. Here I am. Breath deepening, learning new skills, and slowing down to meet the ground. I try to wonder nothing simply listen to the water falling, yet inside my pulse, I hear a calling to rhyme and bend and lend wisdom to humanity. I can only dance this dance while landed here, weaving thoughts and landing here again. Continual cycle of renewal, of getting to know life. So slow down and relish in the delight of this fresh romance, let yourself be danced-- pleasure and pain, ecstasy within it all. I'll take the chance, slow down, and meet life anew, as the true Beloved. Joyous Presence, supreme gift! Reciprocal, As I gratefully say, "Yes." It's beyond trusting-- it's about Faith. A leap into the now; glorious, vivid, real, holy holy. Aho! I've been caught! ..talking aloud to myself, by an old, old man, in the forest. He walked by me quietly, pretending he was not there. Suddenly I felt so shy. But as I explored the sudden insecurity, I found I was having shame over very natural and healthy practice. When we speak aloud to ourselves, we get to know all aspects of our dynamic beingness; the one who has questions, and the wise inner council. Dynamic, simple practice of self-care and devotion. If I could do just one thing all day, every day, I would lay on the ground. The soft, quiet Earth holding my tender body, trees overhead, and a river within earshot, feeling the warm breeze brush my skin, watching the leaves dance to the rhythm of my breath, and feeling my heart communing with the ground below.
The simple joy of being alive with Life! The only thing that could tempt me away from this state of intoxicating presence would be the belief that I need to be something more, offer something greater, have something better, and within all of this, show up on the internet, this imaginary web of connection, which actually is a web of disconnection with the life that's here. The internet presence is not more valuable than real presence. Yes, it can be valuable to assist in connecting us more deeply with community, but face-to-face connection should be what we are going for-- if it's happiness that we are going for. Being here, now , available, connected, laying on the sweet smelling ground is more valuable that being glued to this screen. This screen can only portray that which has already passed away. It is dead. It only can live because we give it life, our precious life force, our sacred presence. So I ask myself, "Do I wish to contribute to the death of real presence, of real connection to people and life, or give my life to the Glorious Reality of the Living Earth? I think the answer is quite simple. Life is quite simple. We are creating our own suffering due to our ignorance of what is actually of value. So with this, I am signing off. And I hope to see you in person. In real life. When I see you, I will hug you close, so close that you will feel my heart beating against your chest. And I will welcome you back to Earth. We need you. So, briefly check out my upcoming offerings, workshops, and retreats, and let's meet up in real life, in real time, in the beautiful simplicity of human connection on our incredible Earth. Then go outside. Lay on the ground. And remember. This is enough. You are enough. You give enough. You do enough. Now, receive life. Give yourself to the ground and celebrate a moment well lived, a moment of true reciprocity with the life that's here. And be grateful. |
